[The Problem]
We manage to migrate to VeriSign's new SSL certificate format (by renewing SSL server side certificates on myZyXEL.com and Update Server), beginning 6th January 2010 (GMT +8). The new certificate format may cause registration problem.
This problem can be applied to all ZLD-based ZyWALL, including:

As of 6th January 2010, any signature update and\or products registration will fail. |
[The Solution]
For ZLD-based ZyWALL users, please upgrade the firmware to version v2.12 or later.
Please be aware that, this firmware upgrade is mandatory for all ZyWALL USG users and the upgrade must be performed before 5th January 2010.
The v2.12 firmwares can be available for download on ZyXEL global web site immediately.
[For ZyNOS Users]
ZyNOS-based ZyWALL is not affected by this issue.
The registration and/or signature update will not be affected by this SSL certificate renewal – customer can continue to perform registration and/or signature update. Customer may receive log messages pertaining to this event however these log messages are harmless and therefore can be ignored.
